Dating app maps where people love and hate the 'take a knee' protests the most

These days, it's hard not to choose a side on every political issue--and that's especially true for the recent #TakeAKnee protests.

If you feel strongly about it -- either for or against -- you're not alone. Thanks to the dating app Hater, which helps people find love based on their mutual hatred of things, we now know which states -- or at least the tech-savvy singles in those states -- are here for athletes taking a knee during the national anthem and which are not supportive at all.

The app offered its users the chance to weigh in on a variety of topics, and they've had "take a knee" in the mix for several months. They've created a map based on how people have been responding, and the results are illuminating.

The states shaded in red and orange lean toward "hating" the idea of athletes kneeling during the national anthem. The states in blue and green "love" it. The states in yellow are a mix of both.

It's not terribly surprising that traditionally more liberal states like Washington, Oregon, and Vermont seem to support this movement the most. Though it's interesting that some swing states, like Wisconsin and North Carolina, are also strongly in favor of them as well.

Wyoming, New Mexico, Iowa, and Mississippi came out as the states that were most against the protests.
