If you thought iPhone torture test videos are insane, in India millions are showing interest in the water resistant capabilities of the new Rs 2,000 currency note.
Videos of people washing Rs 2,000 notes have gone viral in India, garnering millions of views in less a matter of days. At the time of writing, three out of top 10 trending videos on YouTube in India were about people performing water test on the new Rs 2,000 notes. One of the videos has already clocked over 5.4 million views.

India invalidated two of its most circulated paper currency notes last week, causing panic among hundreds of millions of people. People are forming long queues outside banks and ATMs as they struggle to obtain enough paper cash. Currency notes or more crucially, the lack of them, is what everyone is talking about in India right now.
